Aira Euro Automation offers a 3-position Pneumatic Rotary Actuator designed for precise operation at 0°, 45°, and 90°, or any desired intermediate position. The middle position is controlled by a mechanical brake, activated by auxiliary piston movement. This double-acting actuator is ideal for coarse-fine adjustments in batching operations or liquid filling systems, ensuring 100% repeatability with mechanical stoppers.

The actuator can seamlessly switch between positions using a solenoid control, with the third position achieved by pneumatic stopper pistons in the return stroke. The intermediate position, set at 20% opening by default, is field-adjustable via a set screw.

By default, the actuator operates in reverse action, where the piston’s inward stroke opens the valve, and outward stroke closes it. End stops (±10°) are provided on both opening and closing sides to ensure precise valve positioning.
